Editorial Notes

The AMD Gen 3 used a Ryzen PRO 5000 refresh (5675U/5875U) — same Zen 3 architecture as Gen 2 AMD with minor clock adjustments. Still competitive performance with excellent power efficiency.

Known Issues

Ryzen PRO 5000 refresh is not a new architecture — marginal gains over Gen 2. DDR4 and 16 GB cap continue. No Thunderbolt.

Swiss Market

Used/clearance CHF 350-600. Budget AMD convertible for Swiss markets.

Community-supported. Zen 3 is mature and rock-solid on Linux. AMD drivers are excellent.
