Editorial Notes
The Gen 13 debuts Intel Lunar Lake (Core Ultra 258V) bringing improved integrated graphics and significantly better power efficiency. The chassis remains virtually unchanged from Gen 12, maintaining the same excellent keyboard and port selection. The jump to LPDDR5x-8533 is notable but comes soldered as always in the X1 Carbon line.
Early BIOS versions had intermittent Thunderbolt dock wake issues. Lenovo released BIOS 1.10+ which resolves most reported cases. Wi-Fi 7 performance depends on router compatibility — real-world gains over Wi-Fi 6E are router-dependent.
Available through Lenovo CH, Digitec, and Brack. Swiss keyboard layout (QWERTZ with dedicated umlauts) is the default SKU. Lenovo CH educational discount applies for qualifying institutions.
Lenovo-certified for Ubuntu. Intel Lunar Lake requires kernel 6.10+ for full hardware support including the Arc 140V iGPU. Fingerprint reader works with libfprint 1.94+.
