The Gen 5 transitioned to the 16:10 display aspect ratio alongside the X1 Carbon Gen 8. Comet Lake (10th Gen) processors with Wi-Fi 6 and Thunderbolt 3. The garaged pen and 360-degree hinge continued unchanged.

Known Issues

Comet Lake is the last pre-Tiger Lake platform — single-core performance lags behind 11th Gen alternatives. LPDDR4x capped at 16 GB.

Used market CHF 300-600. Still a capable convertible for office and note-taking workflows.
