Editorial Notes
The convertible counterpart to the X1 Carbon Gen 10. Shares the same 12th Gen platform and OLED display option with the addition of a 360-degree hinge and garaged Lenovo Precision Pen. The convertible design adds only marginal weight (1.38 kg).
The hinge mechanism can feel stiff during the first weeks of use — this loosens naturally. OLED and touchscreen mean higher power draw than the non-touch Carbon equivalent.
Popular with Swiss architects and consultants for on-site presentations. Pen-capable models are valued in professional services. Refurbished stock available on Ricardo.
Good Linux support. Pen input works via libwacom. Auto-rotation requires iio-sensor-proxy. Touch and pen both function well on Wayland.
