Editorial Notes
The Gen 3 brought Alder Lake (12th Gen) with its hybrid P/E core architecture. The WQXGA display option (2560x1600) was a welcome addition. Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt 4 continued. Garaged pen remained standard.
Hybrid core scheduling on Linux was initially inconsistent — resolved in kernel 5.18+. The 54.7 Wh battery provides decent runtime for a 13-inch convertible.
Used/clearance CHF 600-900. A practical choice for pen-first workflows at a lower price than the X1 Yoga Gen 7.
Certified for Ubuntu 22.04. Alder Lake hybrid cores well-supported in kernel 5.17+. All hardware works.
